The route a sound takes, drawn as the manual for equipment that never existed.

Seven stages between a voice in a room and a radio in a kitchen: source, preamp, equaliser, compressor, summing, modulator, aerial.

Each is engraved as a figure in one manual, and the signal itself is drawn in blue between the stages, changing shape as it travels.

Every device is invented; none resembles a real product.
